STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math programs. As a result of receiving a special grant to support pets in the schools, two new pets were purchased for our students to learn about and to help to care for. The students and Nurse Williams have named our new pets in the Shadow Rock Center STEM Lab. Dexter Blade, a Bearded Dragon, and Princess, a Guinea Pig, have provided lots of fun learning opportunities each day. Dr. McClain-Sturdivant and her family provide needed weekend care.
